...Man, thunderstorms suck. Really not a whole hell of a lot to do out there today... If someone has an idea of what to do for now, I'm open to suggestions.

Well, I'm more looking forward to tomorrow. If the weather's decent, I'd like to spar with a few people. Terra, we still haven't had a chance to fight yet, and I've owed you that for like, a month. So we need to do that! Flynn, if you're not busy, I wouldn't mind a go at it either.

And Goku! You and I have to fight too! It'd be good to have a strong, friendly rival fistfighter here!

I'm also open to any others who may want a battle in the future. Gotta practice and not get rusty!

Well, people said meteors aren't that bad. They're really not until you get one dropped on you by a bratty half-pint demon Overlord.

[G-giggling at that.] Okay, okay. Good point. I know what being struck by lightning is like anyway.

Is your brother some kind of spellcaster or something?

Kind of! Anybody in my world can use magic if they really try!

Yeah, that happens in mine too. Though many of the best magicians were born with the gift. I dunno, I never really bothered with it myself.

Really? It's pretty fun to be able to use magic!

I guess it might be. But it's really not my style. I prefer to just use my fists to keep a fight fair!

Fair enough. I like using weapons more anyways.

A lot of people do. What do you prefer? Swords? Bows? Axes?

Dual Daggers! They're the easiest to use, BUT I can use just about any weapon if I wanna.

Knives, huh? Don't usually see that too much where I'm from. Most people go straight to swords from there. But hey, whatever works, right?

So, Rikku... what's your world like, anyway? Gotta be interesting if magic is that common.

Uhm...It's really different all over the place. But the two things in common everywhere is that there's ruins, and fiends everywhere.

What about yours?

Well, it's rural mostly. And there were a lot of demons running around it for awhile. Of all sorts.

There are fewer now. And more humans. But being a Netherworld, there's really no avoiding the demons.

Netherworld?

It's... really not what it might sound like. It's not Hell. ...Dunno where people dig that comparison up.

Netherworlds are... basically just worlds. It's just what they're called. Demons usually live in Netherworlds, but there are many human Netherworlds too.

Veldime's an odd mix of both.

That sounds like an interesting place to live.

"Interesting" is a pretty good way to put it.

What would be your word for it then?

I don't know. It's transitioning right now. The reason why so many demons were running around was a curse that turned humans into them. That curse is now broken, so they're turning back into humans, but some natural demons had come to Veldime as well.

And to break the curse, we had to kill the Overlord. So now we have to make sure it doesn't get taken over by another demon, or something.

So I don't really have one word to describe it. Well, except "Home."

Sounds a little confusing.

But 'home' is always a good word!
