[....Yeah that was pretty complicated, though she's not as surprised as you might expect. She knows Adell is smarter than he let's on sometimes and she also knows he's full of surprises... what with her Adell building a house. 8D ]

[She can't help the affectionate smile, before she tries to hide it behind a bit more of a smirk.]

Idiot. You certainly sound like the same person.

[...That smile looked oddly warm for Rozalin, but... he can't say he didn't appreciate it. He wouldn't call attention to it, though it, and her reply brought quite a smile to his face.]

Glad some things never change.

[For either of them.]

Hmph. If you had forgotten about that promise of yours, then I'd be truly worried.

[It does, deep down, worry her a little that maybe it's even her Adell's experiences that could also have been lost... but it's really impossible to say, so she tries to ignore the ache that would come with that.]

Well, forgetting it just wouldn't be my style.

[Truth be told, the idea of losing his experiences in Luceti only to be shoved into a new world worried him too. It pretty much flew in the face of everything he fought for back home. But for the moment, it was no matter.]

And you know I can't let that happen.

[Honestly, talking to her like this... it was the happiest he had felt in quite awhile. It was a truly strange feeling; she had only just gotten here, after all. And there was so much more to explain and talk about, but...

It just didn't weigh on him as heavily as it did before.]

[It's good to see him smile... it seemed like he'd needed it. She continues to smile, amused.]

Of course not.

[She pauses a moment glancing around, before looking back at him with a teasing expression now.]

So, Battle Maniac, you aren't really going to keep me standing around outside a building all day, are you?

[Battle Maniac. That was a name he hadn't heard in far too long. It doesn't bother him to hear it now. In fact, all he does is laugh heartily at it.]

I guess not. It is a bit chilly out here, anyway. Come on, I'll take you back to my place. There's more than enough space for you to stay. Just so long as you don't mind living in a dog house or something again.

[He's teasing, and every part of his tone says so. Still, he offers her a hand to take if she wants. After all, they may have to push through a crowd or two.]

[Somehow... she thought calling him that would be a good thing.]

Well, I suppose I can make due.

[She plays along with his teasing and even taking him up on his offered hand. Whatever other reasons she may have for it, certainly not getting separated is one very real one. There's a lot of people here... she doesn't particularly fancy being lost amongst the crowd again. ]

Although, anything will be better than what I have had to go through...

[This she says with all seriousness as she has experienced something FAR worse than a "dog house" now.]

[He begins leading her along the path, toward the community building where he lived. It wasn't far, thankfully, but the crowds made it a little trickier to navigate.]

What do you mean? What happened after the dragons took you, Rozalin?

Well, we had no where truly to live at first... thus I was forced to live in a... a tent.

[OH the MASSIVE amounts of contempt she held for that living arrangement.]

[...Okay, he bursts out laughing again.]

I-I'm sorry, but how in the hell did I talk you into that?

I didn't really have much choice, at first. [Of course, then they found that part of Veldime.... but she decides to avoid explaining that for now, especially since she doesn't know quite how to explain it.]

You also did start building a house...

Heh, I guess construction is one thing the two of us have in common, then.

[He chuckles at the thought of building a house though. ...But if he built a house for himself and Rozalin, then... they must've still been living together. Well, that suited him perfectly fine.]

I'm sorry you had to deal with the tent for that long, though. At least here we have a roof over our head, electricity, and enough stuff to be comfortable. It's not five star or anything... but it's good enough.

[He leads her into another community building, much like the one they were talking by, and up a flight of stairs to the second floor. He heads to his front door and opens it into his apartment.

It's kept surprisingly clean, though much of the decorating is kind of sparse. It's kind of expected for Adell. The main room has a couch, a couple of chairs, a desk, and some other furniture. It's spartan in nature, but it's at least warm and comfortable and passes enough for a home. The doors to the bedrooms are all closed though.]

[She lifts a brow at this, but decides to ask later as she follows him.]

You certainly don't have to apologize.

[She chides him softly. She'd heard plenty of those from her Adell.

She's not so surprised it's clean, given messy isn't really 'his style', but the fact it's even somewhat furnished is impressive. She looks around curiously.]

Do you live here alone?

[He nods.]

Yeah, I do. Moved in here awhile ago. Haven't really found anyone who's needed a roommate around much.

[Plus he's... choosier about who he lives with these days.]

Come on in, take it easy and rest. I'll go get one of the bedrooms set up for you.

[After all, he hadn't yet figured that she and his counterpart shared a room now.]

I see...

[She will be happy to settle down on that couch of yours there. And, yeaaah.. and she's not about to say anything about that.]

Ah... thank you.

No problem at all. I'll be cooking dinner in awhile too. Shouldn't be hard to cook for two, as long as you think you can eat my cooking.

[Adell goes to the closet in the main living area and begins rifling through it, pulling out sheets, pillowcases, and blankets.]

Though I gotta say, I think it's gotten pretty good.

I suppose I shall have to be a judge of that, as I am quite familiar with your cooking.

[It's not like she's been cooking you know Adell. |D]

Ah, right. I keep forgetting, that makes sense.

[It's weird, thinking about that. But he doesn't sound like he actually minds. Still, he goes into one of the other bedrooms, which too is sparsely decorated, but it has a big enough bed and a wardrobe and such. He gets to work making the bed in short order.]

Still, even though I've improved... I still don't think I can touch Mom or Hanako's cooking yet. Seriously, I'm still wondering how they manage to be so good at it.

[She rises from the couch, and leans against the door frame a little watching him... it's weird trying to hold a discussion with someone in a different room.

Oh Hanako's cooking... that is something she really does rather miss.]

I rather doubt we ever will know.

It might just be one of those gifts she was born with.

[Kind of like how he dealt more damage to stronger opponents!

He quickly put the final touches on her bed, but then looked at the bed itself and frowned for a moment.]

...this could use one more blanket. I think it's gonna be cold tonight. I've got a spare in my room.

[With that, he slides past her, and heads for his own room...]

[Feeling oddly warmed that he's going to this much trouble for her despite... well... yes... anyways. She watches him go into another room, so follows to the frame of the other door.]

Hanako is quite fortunate...

[There have certainly been times now where Rozalin did almost wish she was a more competent cook...]

She is, no doubt about it.

[Still, once inside his room, he goes to his own personal closet and reaches up to the top shelf to get a heavy winter blanket down.

His own room is much more decorated, or at least, looks more lived in. There's a bookcase, which, perhaps surprisingly, is filled with a books, some of which look quite difficult. There's a few assorted trinkets here and there that Adell collected, including a handheld video game console resting on his nightstand...

And there very much appears to be a toy replica of the Excalibur sword from Veldime resting upright in a corner, too.

Aside from the somewhat eclectic collection of things he had accumulated over the course of his stay in Luceti, the most remarkable thing in the room was a shelf, that was filled with framed pictures, along with a handful of other things.

The pictures included people Adell called best friends, Captain, interesting people, an adopted family and others he loved.

Notably,among those pictures, included a picture of Adell's own Mom, Rozalin herself, and interestingly, someone Rozalin was familiar with...]

[This room is indeed a lot more interesting than the rest of the apartment thus far. A glance around, and her eyes are drawn to the large amount of photos. The picture of herself catching her gaze, and causing her to draw closer to the shelf. Where... when did this get taken? Her gaze is soon drawn to the others... so many faces she doesn't know, so many *girls*, but a few she does. Mom was here? ...Terra?! She might've asked him about that, but her gaze falls on several with him and... other girls. Together.

Suddenly she feels like she should not have followed him in here.]

[Once he's sure he's got the blanket and everything he needed out of his closet, he closed the door with his foot and turned around to see Rozalin looking at his shelf of pictures... and that she's being very quiet about it.]

...I see you found those. A lot of memories there. Memories of friends and people I cared about before they somehow got sent back home.

[He walks up beside her, setting the blanket down on his own bed for the moment.]

It... seems you've had quite the life here. [She says softly, before forcing her expression to be something--anything to hide all kind of emotions inside.]

There's an awful lot of girls here for someone who always says they hate girls.
