[Action]
[The week had been rough, and it was only three days in. Some of the Kin'corran refugees were on edge, temperamental, and sometimes volatile. There had already been several incidents of violence and near riots, some of which Adell, among plenty of others, had put down. But things couldn't keep going like this... there needed to be gestures of kindness, because Adell was convinced there were good people among them.
He spent most of the day seeking out Kin'corrans to speak to. Many of them greeted him with suspicion, but Adell's straightforward, honest personality helped smooth over many meetings, at least. By lunchtime, he had spoken to a fair number of people, and stopped to take his lunch outside, taking an unoccupied bench. While he was eating, he was approached by one of the Kin'corran orphans, a young child.
Adell had in his hand a cookie, one he had managed to secure before the supply in the grocer went bare. The kid looked tired, and hungry, and looked at Adell with pleading eyes, not saying a word. The demon stared back at the kid for a moment, before silently holding out the treat for the kid to take. The child was hesitant for a moment, but then quickly snagged it and beamed a smile after biting into it.]
Thanks, mister!
...No problem. It's just my style.
[And with that, the kid laughed happily and ran off with his snack.
Satisfied that he had done a good deed for the day, Adell rose and started walking home. Just before he got to Community Seven, he overheard a pair of voices... which would lead to another encounter that may help brighten peoples' days... ]
[The feed opens up with Adell standing outside Community Building 7, and in the background there appears to be a bunch of deer meat roasting over a bonfire that had been carefully set up, and were being monitored a green-haired woman leaning on her planted spear, and a blonde woman with a bow slung over her back.]
Hey guys, I know some of you are hungry out there. But two of the Kin'corrans, Mint and Fayna, caught a whole lot of game on a hunt! I helped them clean it and start a bonfire, and they want to share with people in return. So whoever wants to come down here and have some freshly cooked dinner, you're free to!
...Oh, and try to find and invite Kin'corrans too! This kind of thing really is for everyone. We really need something to try to bring us together, don't you think?
(OoC: This can act as... something of a party. Threadjacking and multi-person threads are welcome and encouraged!)

I'll mention it to my house and see who else I can round up for this. We'll bring what we can, too.
[She wouldn't feel right only taking, especially when the food supply is an issue.]
[And in the background, the green haired woman speaks up.]
Hey! Tell them we're gonna need plates! I gotta watch this so I can't go to the store!
Plates? No problem. We'll bring as many as we can manage with us! Need cutlery and cups, too?
We thank you, ma'am. And yes, those would be very helpful.
[Adell then looks back to the book to speak himself.]
If you need a hand carrying extra stuff, I'll be glad to help myself. I think these two have the cooking under control if I'm needed.
I'll abuse Teleport today, though I'll still need extra hands. You'd be welcome, Adell.
[And then Mint speaks up again.]
And see if they have a meat thermometer too, Adell! Don't want this stuff overcooked, and I'm not exactly a demon egg timer!
[She frowns a bit, glancing around.]
A meat thermometer? I...think we have one. Let me check.
[He shrugs.]
Great. And I'll be good to go when you are.
[After checking to see what she has, she comes back to the journal.]
Okay, good. I have a thermometer, too. So, come over!
[It earns a nod from the blonde woman, and Adell dashes off, toward Rydia's house.]
Be there in a couple!
[By the time he makes it to the house, Rydia has out as many clean plates as she can manage, along with a drawer of cutlery, all on the kitchen table. She's getting the glasses out next.]
[Action]
Hey, I'm here. Is this all the stuff that needs to be carried?
And really, thanks for your help, Rydia. I've been looking for ways to help smooth things out with our visitors. This might go a long way.
[Action]
That's a good deal of it, though I was going to get some glasses as well. We really have more than we can possibly use here on our own, anyway. It might as well be shared with all the extra people.
Adell will be seeing an odd sort of response - Rorona hit the journal button to respond but decided to go check something in the background before actually ... responding. So, he'll probably see her digging through a large chest, pulling things out and examining them, muttering to herself.]
Do I have enough for this ...? Maybe not to make a lot of them, but if it'll make it all last a little longer, then ... Hmmmm ...
Rorona? Is that you? Your journal's running.
[She looks behind her quickly, then sighs to herself.]
O-oh, um. Sorry, ehehe ... I wanted to check something before I said anything. [She clears her throat, turning to face the journal with a bag of flour in her hands.] I'm not sure if your friends will approve of it, but I was thinking ... maybe I could use some of the meat you guys have to make meat pies! It might make it all last a little longer!
Sure, that'd be great. We need to stretch this stuff as far as it'll go, even if we got a lot of it!
So, where should I be heading to?
[And soon she'll be seen closing in on the area near Community Building 7, wearing a large, very-packed messenger bag and holding a mid-sized cauldron.
... She's walking like someone who's been drinking heavily because of this.]
[Voice]
[She was running a baseball game this afternoon. She should bring some of them]
[Voice]
[And then the green haired girl pops up next to him, nearly invading his personal space.]
Did you say rice and vegetables? Please bring them if you've got them! It'd go really well with this!
...Thanks, Haruhi. This is Mint, by the way.
[Voice]
[voice]
[Plain meat is fine but spices are better. Or maybe barbeque sauce.]
[voice]
You should come on over. We're by Community 7. Bring friends, man!
[voice]
[voice]
Late, but who cares? 8| [Voice]
[Voice] Not me, because I'm late too! Been a busy weekend.
[The blonde woman in the background seems to have heard that message and approaches Adell.]
Yes. We appreciate your generosity. Thank you.
[Voice]
[A beat.] I'll see how many I can make before coming over.
