Rozalin's silence about the matter, and the fact that she was dodging the issue entirely, was quite suspect right from the get go. Adell expected something more akin to a furious reaction, not one so... subdued.

But he knew well enough that a subdued reaction didn't mean things were okay. No, in fact, that meant there was much more of a problem than he anticipated. His only guess was... she really did feel that way about him as well. And though the possibility existed that her Adell and himself were different, feelings like that are not so easily separated.
